Carey Yost, Art director, Main Character Design

Carey Yost was too lazy to write his own bio, but here’s what we know about him: he has worked as a writer and storyboard artist on “Samurai Jack.” Other credits include “The Ren and Stimpy Show,” “The Powerpuff Girls” and “Commander Cork.” He developed the films “The Power Puff Girls Movie” and “Hercules and Xena: The Battle for Mount Olympus.” And he also wrote and codirected some short animated feature called “Buy One, Get One Free,” which we’ve never heard of. In his free time, he enjoys getting his ass kicked in Fantasy Football by other “Clone High” staff.

Dexter Smith, Art Director and Character / Prop design.

Dexter Smith was born in Waterville, Maine on February 3, 1909. He was raised there, graduated high school and then got the hell out of Dodge. In 1961, Dexter was living it up in the "big city" while attending college, studying a whole bunch of stuff. After graduating, he supplement his income moonlighting as a go-go boy in “Hell’s Kitchen.” It wasn't long before Hollywood came a-callin’. So before the dawn of the Age of Aquarius, Smith packed his mushroom candles and scented body oils and moved west. During the 1990s animation renaissance, he worked exclusively at Warner Brothers Television Animation where he was mentored by some of the industry’s most gifted journeymen. Just before the birth of the new century, Smith moved to Cartoon Network and then to MTV to work on Clone High USA. Over the years, he has contributed work in art direction, character layout, character and background design, storyboards and production development. Among his many credits are Batman the Animated Series, Superman, Johnny Bravo, The Powerpuff Girls and Samurai Jack. Presently, Smith is back at Warner Brothers Animation and go-go dancing on the weekend.
